22 copies, 22 different original covers and an inserted screenprinting, illustrations in counterpoint of texts full of humor of the artist.
We can imagine the bewilderment of the first human being who, seeing the track of a burned piece of wood, discovered the image of its tool on the wall. A technique opens a world the character of which is confidentially connected to the chosen tool.
The world of the print is shaken by a digital excitement and the matrix of metal or stone is more and more replaced by a computer file, and the burin by the mouse. We wanted to appropriate these new techniques, and to exceed certain rising academicisms by choosing the digital press stemming from the process laser rather than printers with liquid inks.
The works of this book are digital transcriptions of paintings. The images obtained by recording were vectorized, that is converted in curves built by modifiable points, bounding areas which receive a color. The computing matrices are then directly handled by the digital press.
In counterpoint, covers are painted, resuming each of 22 digital prints of the book.
